<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which enables reduction in weight. <P>SOLUTION: The entire of a coil assembly housing case is formed in a uniform thickness. After a coil, a core, a lead, and a high tension terminal or the like are housed, the inside is filled with an insulating resin. An inner surface at the bottom of the coil assembly housing case is almost along an outer shape of a secondary bobbin and is formed slightly larger than the outer shape of the secondary bobbin, and a high tension terminal housing is continuously connected to a lower part thereof. Since the insulating resin is charged in a uniform thickness between the bottom of the coil assembly and the secondary bobbin, a lightweight ignition coil for an internal combustion engine can be obtained without charging an unnecessary insulating resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
