<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce discomfort of a pregnant woman in such a manner that a restraining member restrains a section other than the belly section of the passenger under a seat-taken state. <P>SOLUTION: This seat belt device passes the distal end of a webbing 2 which is let out from a retractor 1 through a slip guide 3, and fixes the distal end to a car body floor 4. A tongue through 5 is passed through the webbing 2 between the fixed place and the slip guide 3. The tongue through 5 is freely position-adjustably fixed to the webbing 2. A belt-like pad 8 equipped with a buckle section 9 and a tongue section 10 on both ends is provided, and the tongue through 5 is fitted on the buckle section 9, and the tongue section 10 is fitted in a buckle 7.
