<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing a livestock embryo-derived cell, in more detail, a method for culturing the cell, comprising collecting a hernia portion (cytotrophoblast) formed by a hernia method biopsy. <P>SOLUTION: This method for culturing the livestock embryo-derived cell comprises notching the transparent zone of a livestock embryo, culturing the notched embryo to form a hernia, collecting the trophoblast of the hernia portion, and then culturing the trophoblast in anα-MEM-modified culture medium in the presence of a serum. Thereby, a DNA sample is obtained in an amount necessary and sufficient for genetic diagnoses and DNA marker analyses, thus facilitating the selection of livestock on the basis of genetic information and enlarging a rate of improving the livestock. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
