PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base which rotatably supports a shift lever, capable of attaining high rigidity, preventing generation of warping, and facilitating attachment operation for the shift lever. SOLUTION: In this shift lever device, a contour of a spindle 27 is formed in an annular shape, a guide groove portion 31 for inserting the spindle is formed at a supporting portion 17 to be communicated with a shaft hole 29, and a bearing bush 33 in which a stop hook portion 35 fitted with the base 2 at an inner portion of the shaft hole 29 is formed can be inserted between the spindle 27 and the shaft hole 29. Under this state, the bearing bush 33 is fitted in the shaft hole 29 with the spindle 27 inserted in the shaft hole 29 through the guide groove portion 31, thus rotatably supporting the shift lever 3 at the base 2 through the bearing bush 33.
