PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low voltage generating circuit which can generate a low reference voltage. SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuit is a reference voltage generating circuit including diodes D1 and D2 wherein the diodes D1 and D2 include a junction of a first conductivity type first semiconductor layer 32 and a second conductivity type second semiconductor layer 34, and at least one of the first semiconductor layer 32 and the second semiconductor layer 34 has a band gap smaller than that of silicon.
