PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing detection sensor 1 keeping sensitivity of a reed switch 20 constant by restraining distortion of a resin casing 30 with the reed switch 20 housed therein from being transmitted to the reed switch 20. SOLUTION: This opening/closing detection sensor 1 is provided with: a magnet part 5 having a permanent magnet; and a detection part 10 composed by fixing rod-like terminals 22 extended from both ends of the reed switch 20 to terminal plates 40 arranged in the resin casing 30, and the sensor is used for detecting the opening/closing state of a moving body 60 by attaching the magnet part 5 to the moving body 60 such as a window or a door and by fixing the detection part 10 to a mounting frame 70 with the moving body 60 openable/closably mounted thereto so as to face the magnet part 5. The terminal plate 40 has a cushioning part 44 used as a cushion when the distortion of the resin casing 30 is transmitted to the reed switch 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
