<p>In a wireless LAN system, when a first communication station transmits packets to a second communication station, a first method of transmitting first transmission confirmation information as a replay to the first communication station for each packet received by the second communication station or a second method of transmitting second transmission confirmation information for the received packets in response to a request of the first communication station is selectable. The first or second method is selected depending on the number of packets k for which the second transmission confirmation information is transmitted. Thus, in a wireless LAN system where a plurality of kinds of transmission confirmation information can be used, transmission confirmation information leading to improvement of the transmission efficiency is selected.</p> |
