A communication control apparatus controls communication using a protocol in which a control signal indicative of allocation of a one-way communication section, in which one-way communication is performed, and a two-way communication section, in which two-way communication is performed, in a given period is repetitively transmitted to another apparatus at intervals of that period, thereby performing an acknowledgement of communication packets. The communication control apparatus decides, based on the degree of the acknowledgement of communication packets, the length of the one-way communication section, and transmits a control signal including a plurality of one-way communication sections the length of each of which has been decided.
