<p>A communication apparatus, which has a means for allowing communication to be performed via one or more lines, decides a timing at which to perform a reconnection, taking the statuses of the lines into account. When the timing at which to perform the reconnection has been decided, a line is disconnected once, and then the line is reconnected. This allows the communication apparatus to attempt to switch to a higher-rate communication mode, maintain the connectivity of the communication apparatus and to secure a higher-rate communication mode line, whereby the communication apparatus can use an increased number of bands as a whole.</p> |
