Disclosed herein are a quasi-monochromatic X-ray filter and an X-ray imaging system using the filter. The quasi-monochromatic X-ray filter includes a filter housing; and a plurality of identical reflecting mirrors stacked in the filter housing. Each of the reflecting mirrors is constructed by forming a plurality of coating layers on a substrate made of material having a smooth surface, each of the coating layers including a first layer made of Z heavy metallic material for reflecting X-rays of predetermined frequencies and a second layer made of material for passing X-rays of predetermined frequencies therethrough.
