METHOD FOR PREDICTING PLACE OF CORROSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method of for predicting place of corrosion capable of rationally predicting the corrosion place of a long metal body arranged in a medium such as soil or the like without excavating the medium.

SOLUTION: In the method for predicting the place of the corrosion for the long metal body 2 at least partially arranged in a first medium 1, an AC potential difference forming process for forming set AC potential difference between the long metal body 2 and the conductive member 4 using an AC potential difference forming means 12 in a state that the long metal body 2 is brought into contact with the conductive member 4 arranged in a second medium 3 to form a microcell and a magnetic field distribution measuring process for measuring the distribution of a magnetic field having the same frequency as the set AC potential difference on the surface of the first medium 1 using a magnetic field distribution measuring means 11 are performed to predict the place of corrosion of the long metal body 2 on the basis of the magnetic field distribution detected in the magnetic field distribution measuring process.
