PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing measurement of a virtual object so that an observer can intuitively easily understand it. SOLUTION: When a virtual object of an apparatus 500 is brought close to the vicinity of a virtual object 150 to be measured positional attitudes of a first virtual object and a second virtual object are changed (S202 and S204), measurement for the virtual object 150 is performed based on the positional attitude relation between the first virtual object and the second virtual object changed in positional attitude, and the measurement result is displayed (S207).
