摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite structural material that is industrially used, by securing a sufficient strength in the joining face of invar alloy and brass using an HIP method, reducing a residual stress in the joining boundary, and thereby preventing cracks in the joining face and distortion of the material during the machining, and also to provide the joining method. SOLUTION: Between one material of invar alloy and the other of brass, there is arranged an insert metal composed of a copper layer of 50-1,000μm thick, with joining performed by hot isotropic pressurization.
