PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic electroluminescent device capable of realizing elongation of life. SOLUTION: The method comprises a first process SA1 of forming a luminescent layer in film on a substrate, a second process SA2 of putting the luminescent layer filmed on the substrate under heating treatment in an inert gas atmosphere, and a third process SA3 of exposing the heat-treated luminescent layer to the inert gas atmosphere for a given period of time.
