PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation system, a program and an information storage medium, allowing generation of a real fog image or the like while minimizing image quality deterioration. SOLUTION: This image generation system includes: anαvalue setting part applying conversion processing to a Z value of each pixel of an original image on the basis of a correction conversion characteristic wherein a characteristic in a range on the inner side of a Z value Z1 viewed from a viewpoint is different from a reference conversion characteristic, and finding anαvalue of each the pixel; a first blending part referring to the Z value of each the pixel of the original image, and blending-drawing a given color to a pixel wherein the Z value of the pixel becomes the inner side of Z1 viewed from the viewpoint by anαvalue a1; and a second blending part blending-drawing a given color to a color of each the pixel on the basis of theαvalue of each the pixel found by the correction conversion characteristic.
