PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve design efficiency. SOLUTION: This design support device 1 comprises an offset surface forming means 7 offsetting a design surface p of a three-dimensional model to form an offset surface q; a deletion means 9 deleting an intersection part t where the offset surfaces q formed by the means 7 cross with each other; and a propriety determination means 11 determining whether the shape of the design surface p is proper or not. The predetermined distance is preferably set to the radius of the head form of an inspection tool for inspecting the design surface of the three-dimensional model. Further, when a projection part is formed on the offset surface q, and the curvature radius of the projection part is a predetermined value or less, the propriety determination means 11 preferably determines that the shape of the design surface p is not proper.
