PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a uniform coat layer by removing a liquid pool and to prevent adhesion of rubber burr. SOLUTION: At the time of coating of an elastic member, the elastic body layer 2 is formed so that an excess length portion 3 to become longer than required dimensions S by predetermined dimensions in the shaft direction is generated on one end side of a shaft 1 and after that, the inner peripheral surface side of the excess length portion 3 is cut off so that it becomes a taper surface 4. Then, a coat layer 5 is formed by performing coating processing at an approximate vertical attitude of the shaft 1 by turning an end part on the side of the excess length portion 3 down and after that, the excess length portion 3 is cut off. Then, the liquid pool 6 generated in the excess length portion 3 is removed with the excess length portion 3. In addition, since the excess length portion 3 prevents adhesion of the rubber burr to the shaft 1, removal of the rubber burr is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
