PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for reinforcing a continuous footing of an existing building simply and very firmly at low cost while the continuous footing supports the whole building. SOLUTION: A reinforced concrete layer 6 integrated with one side of a vertical wall part 11 of the continuous footing 1 is formed by fixing a guide frame 3 for side driving on a side face on one side of the vertical wall part 1a through an anchor fitting 2a in a plurality of sections of the existing continuous footing 1, then arranging bars between adjacent guide frames for side driving 3 and 3, arranging a form 5 in the front of a bar arrangement part, and placing concrete in a bar arrangement space 10. A jack for driving pile 7 is attached on each guide frame 3 for side driving. A pile head pressing device 8 attached to a continuous footing side is abutted on a top end of a pile member after driving the pile member P arranged in the guide frame 3 for side driving into the ground down to required depth by the jack for driving pile 7.
