PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharging device and a head tank cartridge unit which can carry out forming of a liquid channel from a liquid tank to a liquid discharging part and removing of a protection member from a liquid droplet discharging port part in the process of a series of separation operation of a separation means of a comparatively simple constitution in the case of using. SOLUTION: The liquid droplet discharging device and the head tank cartridge comprise: the liquid discharging part 12; a liquid tank 27, the protection member 22 which covers the liquid droplet discharging port part; a communication means 32 for communicating the liquid discharging part 12 and the liquid tank 27 from a non-communicated state to a communicated state; and a separation means 24 which is extended in connection with the communication means 32 and the protection means 22 and which is partially adhered to another part separably. The separation means 24 utilizes the separation power to act the communication means 32 and the protection member 22, thereby making the liquid discharging part 12 and the liquid tank 27 into a communicating state, and also removing the protection member 22 from the liquid droplet discharging portion.
