A breathing regulator incorporates a deflector for directing incoming gas towards the outlet to the inhalation tube. In the embodiment described, air enters the regulator chamber through a valve 9 controlled through levers 16, 14 by a diaphragm, not shown. The valve body has an outlet orifice 17 which directs the flow of gas around the wall of the chamber between its base wall and a deflector plate 21 and the free end of this is curved towards the inhalation orifice 19 so that the air is directed out through it. This orifice is connected through the usual inhalation tube to the face mask or mouthpiece. |
