PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct stable work with a constant force when clamping force is applied to an optical fiber of an optical fiber holder even though the location of a first hinge section of the optical fiber holder can either be located at a back side or a front side. SOLUTION: In an image forming device, an optical fiber holder 3 consists of a holder main body 9 that is provided with a clamping section 7 on which an optical fiber 5 is placed and a holder cover 13 which is arranged on the holder main body 9 with a first hinge section 11 as a fulcrum in a freely opened and closed manner to press and clamp the optical fiber 5 of a clamping section 7. An optical fiber clamping mechanism 1 consists of a clamping table 15, on which the optical fiber holder 3 is arranged so that the first hinge section 11 is placed at either the front side or the back side in an arrangement exchangeable manner, a clamping cover 19 to which the optical fiber holder 3 arranged on the clamping table 15 is arranged onto the clamping table 15 while a second hinge section 17 is used as a fulcrum in a freely opened and closed manner to press the optical fiber holder 3 onto the holder cover 3 from the top and a projecting section 21 which is arranged on the bottom surface of the clamping cover 19 to press the approximately center top section of the holder cover 13 along the front and the back direction.
