PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-ribbed belt which makes it difficult to generate a slip or the like during back face running at the time of pouring water and therefore, has superior transmitting performance at the time of pouring water and has less difference between normal running and back face running at the time of pouring water and restrains abnormal noises caused by the slip or the like. SOLUTION: An expansion layer 5 to be run at a back face is formed by rubber which makes ethylene-α-olefin elastomer as a primary component, and is also formed by containing cellulose short fibers.
