PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time requiring for executing demodulation of a reception signal and processing capability as much as possible without requiring the necessity of exactly mapping a received pulse sequence by a receiver with respect to a time in a UWB system. SOLUTION: This method includes at least one signal transmission step, and in the course, the number of pulses included in the reference pulse sequence is tuned preferably with respect to a currently executed communication state.
