PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform terminal configurations for a monitor master device or additional monitor master devices. SOLUTION: In a television interphone apparatus, a monitor master device 200 and an additional monitor master device 300 are called from a porch child device 100 provided with a camera, and telephone conversations are performed between a calling device 107 of the porch child device with the camera, a calling device 213 of the monitor master device, and a calling device 311 of the additional monitor master device with viewing images photographed by the camera through CRT units 204 and 304. The additional monitor master device has an additional connection notification circuit 317 which notifies the monitor master device of additional master device connection signals to notify that the additional monitor master device is connected. In addition, the monitor master device has an additional connection detection circuit 205, which detects additional master device connection signals from the additional connection notification circuit, and a terminal switch circuit 206 to configure connection and disconnection corresponding to the existence of an output signal from the additional connection detection circuit.
