PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin plate discriminable from another synthetic resin plate, wherein both of the plates present the same hue with a single hue at their edge faces, and to provide a method for discriminating the synthetic resin plate. SOLUTION: The synthetic resin plate has such a construction that a synthetic resin contains 0.01-5 mass% of a fluorescent substance emitting on being irradiated with rays of 300-400 nm wavelength. Another version P of the synthetic resin plate has such a construction that an inner layer 1 and an outer layer 2 of nearly the same color are laminated with each other, wherein at least the inner layer 1 or the outer layer 2 contains the above fluorescent substance. These synthetic resin plates can be discriminated from other synthetic resin plate(s) by the discrimination method comprising irradiating the edge faces thereof with rays of 300-400 nm wavelength to effect emission of the fluorescent substance.
