PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body detergent composition which has good foaming power, gives a creamy foam quality, can be rinsed without leaving sliminess after being used in deterging, has quick foam separation, and does not leave stiffness feelings and dryness feelings when dried after being used in deterging. SOLUTION: The body detergent composition is one comprising an acylamino acid salt (a) with a 6 to 10C acyl group and an 8 to 22C fatty acid salt (b), wherein the composition contains 0.05 to 30 wt.% acylamino acid salt (a) and 1 to 50 wt.% fatty acid salt (b), and the weight ratio of the acylamino acid salt (a) to the fatty acid salt (b) is 1/100 to 1/1.
