PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure of a rear-drive type or a four-wheel-drive type vehicle capable of reasonably transmitting a collision impact from a right (left) cross member to a left (right) cross member when a side impact or the like occurs. SOLUTION: Ends 8a on the inner side of a vehicle body of right and left cross members 6 face each other across a bearing part 12, and the ends 8a on the inner side of the vehicle body of the right and left cross members 6 are connected to the bearing part 12 with a predetermined space L1 between the ends 8a on the inner side of the vehicle body of the right and left cross members 6 and the bearing part 12. An accommodation part 13 to permit such a state that the right and left cross members 6 and the bearing part 12 are displaced in the diminishing direction of the predetermined space L1 is provided.
