PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear body structure of a vehicle improving the stiffness of a vehicle body, by enhancing the stiffness of a joint part between a rear side frame and a rear end cross member. SOLUTION: The rear end cross member 30 arranged in a vehicular width direction and united to each rear end portion 10a of a pair of the rear side frames 10, is composed of a first panel 31 structuring a rear surface side thereof, and a second panel 32 structuring a front surface side thereof and forming a closed cross section with the first panel 31. The first and second panels 31, 32 are superimposed under the closed cross section to form a panel superimposing portion 30a.
