PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaping method of a curved channel member by which implementation is facilitated and the twist of the member can be reduced and suppressed. SOLUTION: The shaping method of shaping the curved channel member which is formed with vertical wall sections on both sides of a flat wall section and has a curved sectional center line comprises swaging or bending the curved channel member from a blank, then installing a number of recessed parts 21 in a row along the circumferential direction of curving with respect to the flat wall section 11 of the curved channel member 1 and allowing compressive stresses to remain, and/or installing a number of the recessed parts of an inner side section 11T in a row, then crushing these to allow compressive stresses to remain along the circumferential direction of curving. The twist in a negative direction is thereby generated to reduce and suppress the twist generated in a positive direction by shaping from the material shape of the member.
