PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a steel strip with difference in thickness having small flatness. SOLUTION: In the method for rolling the steel strip with difference in thickness by performing rolling of a work until the thickness is attained for a prescribed target thickness of a thick part over the entire length of the rolling stock, and then, rolling the work by forward one pass or two passes including one forward one pass and reverse one pass at the predetermined draft position so as to obtain a portion of the predetermined length and small thickness, the work is rolled by employing the pass number for the smaller steepness.
