PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a partition board suitable to produce an aluminum casting having excellent mold-releasing characteristic and sound casting surface. SOLUTION: The partition board arranges a carbon-coated film on the surface of a stainless steel sheet through an oxide layer having fine ruggedness on the surface layer, and is set a casting metallic mold and parted to a prescribed size of a cavity in the inner part of the metallic mold. The oxide layer is composed of one or more kinds selected from Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, SiO<SB>2</SB>, ZrO<SB>2</SB>, Cr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, TiO<SB>2</SB>and composes the stickiness of the carbon-coated film and also, restrains the decomposition of the carbon in the heating time at high temperature and holds excellent mold-releasing characteristic.
