PAINTED METAL PLATE IMPARTED WITH VISIBLE-LIGHT-EXCITATION TYPE PHOTOCATALYTIC ACTIVITY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a painted metal plate having a photocatalytic activity improved by dispersing a powder of a visible-light-excitation type photocatalyst and a powder of a luminous illuminant in the top coating film and sustaining the photocatalytic activity at night. SOLUTION: The metal plate has a top coating film dispersed with powders of a visible-light-excitation photocatalyst and a luminous illuminant in a silica type binder of a styrene-based molecular weight of≥300. The luminous illuminant is dispersed in the top coating film in an independent blend ratio of 10-50 mass% and a combined blend ratio with the photocatalyst of 20-80 mass%. The dispersion of the luminous illuminant in the top coating film improves the photocatalytic activity of photocatalyst and enables the photocatalyst to excite and emit blue light even under conditions without irradiation of light.
