PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article suited to be used as an urine absorbing pad, and surely and easily catching the urine in both cases of excreting a small amount of urine and excreting a relatively large amount of urine covering the sheet. SOLUTION: A liquid-permeable sheet 20 is provided on the surface of an absorbent body 13 formed of pulp and superabsorbent polymer, and the liquid permeable sheet 20 is formed into a skin abutment part 21 having an elastic member 25, side fixing parts 22, and raised parts 23. The erecting part 23 is formed with a deflection room part 23a. When the small amount of urine is given, the skin abutment part 21 can absorb it by making tight contact with the skin and when the relatively large amount of urine is given, it is stored in a hollow part 26 and then absorbed by the absorbent body 13.
