An MN (mobile node) has one or more HoA (home address). When a packet is transmitted from a CN (correspondent node) via an HA (home agent) to an MN, it is possible to reduce the delay attributed to the registration of binding information and selection of a plurality of HoA and delay of the communication caused by the selection result. According to the technique enabling this, the MN (100) reports home network connection information indicating whether connection is currently made to the home network to which a plurality of HoA have been allocated, an address of each HA, and an ID of each HA to the CN while correlating them with the plurality of HoA of the MN (100). According tot he information received from the MN, the CN (150) grasps the home network to which the MN is currently connected and performs inquiry about the state of HA and sets an appropriate HoA judged according to the grasp result or the inquiry result at the destination address of the packet to be transmitted to the MN.
