The display carton has a tray which contains the articles being displayed, behind which a cardboard spring is mounted. This has a front surface (3) which fits against the stack of articles and is connected to a rear wall (11a) by walls in two sections (9a, 9b) with a central fold, across which a strip (10a, 10b) folded in the opposite direction is fastened. An independent claim is included for the cardboard spring.
