<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical memory manufacturing method that can reduce air bubbles in the adhesive layer adheries units together and the uneven thickness of the layer. <P>SOLUTION: The optical waveguide 9 is composed of a resin core layer 3 and clad layers 4 stacked on both sides of the core layer 3. An asperity pattern 8 is formed for reproducing information on one of the interfaces between the core layer 3 and the clad layers 4. In the units 6a, 6b made by stacking one or more optical waveguides 9 and covering the outermost layers with resin materials 5a, 5b, hardened adhesive layers 21, 25 are provided on the surfaces of the resin materials 5a, 5b. The units 6a, 6b are stacked up and down making the adhesive layers 21, 25 face each other, and pressed with a flat plate 31 while heating them. Thus, the adhesive layers 21, 25 are pressed facing each other between the units 6a, 6b to unitize them into an optical memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
