<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium wherein discrimination of propriety of recording or propriety of erasure is reliably made possible for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: In the information recording medium having a disk (1A to 1D) capable of recording information, a hole (8 or 18) provided in the disk and an engaging member (6 or 16) freely straight or rotatably engaging with the hole along the edge of the hole, the engaging member (6 or 16) engages with the hole in at least two positions.
