NONVOLATILE STORAGE DEVICE HAVING ADDRESS PREDICTING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it takes a long time to read a file when reading the file getting fragmentation caused from a nonvolatile storage device.

SOLUTION: The nonvolatile storage device is provided with a function (405) of transferring a portion of necessary logical mapping information of the nonvolatile storage device from a nonvolatile memory to a FAT (file allocation table) buffer of a controller on the basis of a read object address designated from a host, and a function (406) of predicting the next address that is read out by the host on the basis of the last data read by the host and information of the FAT buffer and preliminarily reading data from the nonvolatile memory to a page buffer on the basis of the predicted address.
