PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide binding resin for toner capable of providing toner which maintains low-temperature fixability that polyester resin originally has, and has excellent hot offset resistance, a wide fixation temperature width, and superior filming resistance. SOLUTION: The binding resin for toner which contains at least an acrylic thermoplastic polymer (A) and polyester resin (B) and is characterized in that the reduction viscosity (measured at 25°C by dissolving a 0.1 g polymer in 100 mL chloroform) of the acrylic thermoplastic polymer (A) exceeds 0.2 L/g.
