PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a clear image only to a specified person by a simple configuration in the case where an image of a wide angle view is displayed using a large screen. SOLUTION: The image display system has a projector 3 for emitting image light at a predetermined view angle. Image light is made incident on the light reflecting face 4a of a half mirror 4 at a predetermined incident angle. When the eyes of a person using the image display system are present in an image experience area that allows the person determined in advance to view images, the half mirror 4 is disposed right in front of the face of the person. Image light L1 is reflected by the light reflecting face 4a, and image light L2 projected on the screen 5 is transmitted toward the person. The curvature of the light reflecting face 4a of the half mirror, the predetermined view angle, and the predetermined incident angle are set so that the view field of the person relative to the screen 5 when the eyes of the person are present in the image experience area overlaps image light projected on the screen 5 from the half mirror 4.
