PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of digested sludge by improving the dehydration properties of the digested sludge at a low cost. SOLUTION: The digested sludge 12 discharged from a digestion system 10 anaerobically digesting organic sludge is preliminarily oxidized in an oxidation tank 14. The preliminarily oxidized digested sludge 12A is sent to a solubilization tank 18, and chlorine dioxide 20 is added to solubilize the digested sludge 12A. The digested sludge 12B whose hydration property is improved by the solubilization is sent to a dehydrator 22 to be dehydrated. It is preferable that the amount of the added chlorine dioxide 20 is set to a weight ratio of it to VSS of the digested sludge 12 of 0.2-1%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
