The invention concerns a linear ethylene copolymer, comprising: at least a first sequence A having a glass transition temperature higher than 20 °C; at least a second sequence B having a glass transition temperature less than 15 °C; at least a third sequence C having a glass transition temperature higher than 20 °C; said first sequence A and third sequence C being identical or different, and at least one of them comprising at least one monomer unit including at least a -CO₂H and/or carboxylate-COO function. Said copolymer is used in adhesive compositions and thermoplastic compositions.
