<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a capacitor bank provided with an overvoltage preventing function to a control device for an elevator. <P>SOLUTION: A motor of the elevator is controlled by power from a commercial power source 1 through an inverter 4. For regenerative operation of the motor, current is fed to a braking resistance for braking. In a DC input step of the inverter 4, a plurality of capacitor banks 10 each comprising a plurality of capacitors are arranged serially, and each capacitor bank 10 is provided with a resistance element which acts both for preventing overvoltage and braking. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
