SWITCHING APPARATUS OF COMMUNICATION ROUTE, METHOD OF SWITCHING COMMUNICATION ROUTE, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a long time is sometimes taken for finishing the route switching after a trouble happens in the conventional route switching system using a routing protocol.

SOLUTION: The communication route switching apparatus used in a communication network of communication routes by connecting a plurality of routers for communications comprises: a route controller for selecting a using communication route among a plurality of communication routes determined so as not to physically route the same router; a transmitter for transmitting signals to other apparatus connected to any of the plurality of communication routes; a receiver for receiving answer signals from the other apparatus for the signals; a monitor for monitoring the existence of troubles on the communication route according to the existence of reception of the answer signals; and a manager for selecting a using communication route among the plurality of communication routes, on the basis of the result of monitoring the existence of a trouble on the communication route by the monitor.
