PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating condition monitoring system for an air-conditioner easily adaptable to the case that a new type of sensor is added to sensors for measuring the operating condition of the air-conditioner or the type of sensor is the same but the behavior of measurement data is changed depending on the performance of the air-conditioner. SOLUTION: The system comprises a sensor unit for processing measurement data from the sensors 2a-2e mounted at required positions on the air-conditioner 1 and transmitting it via a communication means, and a central monitoring device 6 for comparing the measurement data from the sensors 2a-2e transmitted from the sensor unit 4 with the behavior pattern of the previously stored rewritable measurement data for every type of sensor to discriminate the types of the sensors 2a-2e and for monitoring the operating condition of the air-conditioner 1 from the collected measurement data for the sensors and the discriminated types of sensors.
