PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system having a reproduction apparatus part reconciling navigation and audiovisual reproduction without making the system expensive. SOLUTION: In the case of a first mode, a navigation process is conducted by using map data reproduced by the reproduction apparatus part from an external recording medium such as a map data disc. In this case, depending on necessity of the navigation process including route guide and map image display and the like, reproduction of the external recording medium is executed by the reproduction apparatus part and the map data is read serially. In the case of a second mode, part of map data reproduced from the map data disc and the like is stored at an internal memory part. In this case, the part of the map data, for example, only the map data required for the TBT method is stored at the memory part. Then, a simplified navigation process is conducted by using the map data stored in the memory part and reproduction of the audiovisual disc and the like is made possible while necessity to read the map data from the external recording medium during the navigation process is eliminated.
