摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an accurate, strong, and appropriate initial control mesh (ICM) of a loop subdivided curved surface at high speed for a group of high density measuring points having an intricate shape including a characteristic ridge line part obtained from scanning a three-dimensional model. SOLUTION: The fitting device for a three-dimensional model inputs scanning data of the three-dimensional physics model, generates the group of high density measuring points, generates a volume base mesh by applying a marching cubes method for the group of high density measuring points, generates a high density mesh by further applying a shrink-wrapping method, conducting extraction processing of a characteristic boundary for the high density mesh, generates an initial control mesh seed storing the characteristic boundary by simplification of the high density mesh using the characteristic boundary, and generates a loop subdivided curved surface initial control mesh by conducting geometric improvement of the initial control mesh seed by quasi-interpolation.
