PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package and a packaging method which facilitate packing and unpacking, and to reduce environmental load. SOLUTION: The package 1 is used to package an article G1 of an angled cylinder shape, and has oblong side face pieces 2 covering the side faces of the article G1, which side face pieces 2 are formed vertically and linearly in series via inner folding lines 7. The vertical length of each side face piece 2 is equal to that of a peripheral side of a bottom face on a side face of the article G1 that corresponds to the side face piece 2. The lateral length of each side face piece 2 is greater than the height of the article G1. The side face pieces 2 have oblong buffering pieces 3, 4 via inner folding lines 8, 9. The lateral length of either of the buffering pieces 3, 4 on the same side to the side face pieces 2 are identical, and the sum of the lateral lengths of the buffering pieces 3, 4 are equivalent to the length given by deducting the height of the article G1 from the lateral length of the side face piece 2. At least one pair of buffering pieces 3, 4 have supporting pieces 5, 6 via outer folding lines 10, 11 in both lateral ends of the side face piece 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
