PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging apparatus improving operability and continuity of the measurement in an image collection executed by a protocol preset with a prescribed diagnostic imaging and procedure of a diagnosis. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic diagnostic imaging apparatus is characterized in having a protocol storage means storing the protocol, or an execution procedure of collecting prescribed ultrasonic images of a subject, a setting storage means temporarily storing setting conditions of the operation of a device body part for every procedure of collecting the prescribed ultrasonic images, a protocol interruption means interrupting the collection in the collection of the prescribed ultrasonic images, temporarily storing the setting conditions of the collection in the setting storage means and switching to a drawing of another ultrasonic image, and a protocol restart means resetting the temporarily stored setting conditions for the operation of the device body, releasing the interruption, and restarting the collection of the prescribed ultrasonic images.
