Energy saving system for laundries which uses the heated output airflow from driers to preheat the incoming air via heat exchangers

An energy saving system for laundries has the moist air drawn from the driers (1) via a first set of fans (6) and ducted through heat exchangers (10) to a venting fan (11, 12). The incoming fresh air is blown through the heat exchanger to preheat to input air into the driers. Any suitable heat exchanger can be used. The system can also be applied to heat exchangers in which the heat is transferred by a liquid cycle. The system can be fitted to new and existing laundries.
